The day is done. A prayer to release what happened and rest in God's keeping.

Dear God, as the day draws to a close, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude and weariness. Thank You for the moments of joy and the strength to face the challenges I encountered. You have been my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, just as Psalm 46:1 reminds me. I lay before You all my successes and failures, knowing that in Your hands, they find meaning beyond my understanding.

Forgive me for the times I faltered today, for the harsh words spoken in haste, and the opportunities I missed to show kindness. Cleanse my heart, Lord, and renew a right spirit within me. I am humbled by Your grace that meets me in my brokenness and lifts me toward healing.

As I prepare for rest, I ask for Your peace to envelop me, quieting the storms within. Guard my thoughts and dreams, that I may wake refreshed and ready to serve You anew. Keep watch over those I love, granting them safety through the night. I trust that Your mercies will be new in the morning, just as You have promised.

Thank You, God, for being my constant companion through each moment of this day. I surrender everything into Your care, believing that in You, I find true rest. Amen.
