A Heart of Generosity
Financial StressOpen hands, not clenched fists. A prayer to give freely and trust God for more.
Dear God, I come to You with a heart weighed down by financial stress. I feel the grip of fear tightening around me, and it’s hard to see beyond my immediate needs. Yet, I am reminded of Your promise, that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). I want to trust in that promise, Lord, but I need Your help to let go of my anxiety and open my hands.
Teach me to have a heart of generosity, even when it feels like I have little to give. Help me to remember that the widow’s mite was precious in Your eyes, not because of its value, but because of her trust in You. Let my giving, no matter how small, be an act of faith rather than a source of stress.
Lord, grant me the wisdom to manage what You have entrusted to me, and the courage to give freely, knowing that You are my provider. When I am tempted to hold back, remind me that I can never outgive You. Fill my heart with peace, and let my trust in You replace my fears. May my focus shift from scarcity to abundance in Your love, and may I find joy in giving, knowing that my true treasure is in heaven.
Amen.
