Dealing with Difficult People

Lord, I come to You feeling weary and stretched thin by those around me. Some relationships in my life seem to drain the energy and peace You've given me. I need Your wisdom, Lord, to navigate these challenging interactions. Your word tells me to love my neighbor as myself, but sometimes it's so difficult to do. Please help me to set healthy boundaries that honor both You and the person You're shaping me to be. Grant me patience and understanding when my heart feels like it's running on empty.

In moments when I want to react with frustration, remind me of Your call to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry. Fill my heart with compassion that reflects Your own, even when it's hard. Help me to see these individuals through Your eyes, with grace and mercy. Lord, give me strength to stand firm in my boundaries, to protect my own heart while still extending kindness and love.

Guide me, Father, to find ways to be a peacemaker without losing myself in the process. I trust that You can transform these difficult relationships into reflections of Your love and grace. Thank You for walking with me through the tension. Amen.
