When You're Asking 'Why?'

God, I come to You with a heart heavy with grief, and I don't understand why this has happened. It feels so unfair, and I struggle to see Your goodness in this pain. It's hard to comprehend how a loving God could allow such loss. I confess that I feel abandoned, like my cries are going unheard. You promise in Psalm 34:18 that You are close to the brokenhearted, but right now, I feel distant from You.

I need Your presence more than ever, Lord. Help me to sense You in the midst of this darkness. I don't know how to move forward or how to endure this aching void. I don't have the answers, and I'm not sure I ever will. All I can do is reach out to You in my confusion and hurt.

Please, God, show me that You are here. I long for Your comfort and strength to sustain me. Let me feel Your arms wrapping around me, holding me together when I feel like falling apart. Despite my questions, help me to trust that You are still good and still sovereign, even when life feels so cruel. Amen.
